AAFP, Cat Friendly Should Be Reserved For Vets Who Don’t Declaw Cats

Dear American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP), “Cat Friendly” should mean exactly that and should be reserved for vets who actually don’t declaw cats. “Surgical declawing is the removal of the nail at its base.  This is done under general anesthesia and there is very little post-surgical discomfort, especially when it is performed on a kitten.  Contrary to the belief …

How Dr Andy Roark Played The Victim Instead of Helping The Welfare of Cats

In one sentence he said he was, “impressed by my passion and dedication”, and that I’m someone who is working hard to help pets and do good in the world. He said that he hopes I see similar characteristics in him.
And in the next sentence he said he didn’t feel inspired but he felt attacked.
Hmmmm. How did I attack him?
I simply asked some questions in a private email as to why so many employees at his practice that is a AAHA, AAFP Cat Friendly hospital were saying that they are a high volume declawing practice and that cat owners could book a declaw surgery with him personally.

Property Management Companies Who Care About Their Tenants AND Cats

I did receive your email and discussed it internally with the regional managers yesterday evening before we left for the day. We have come to the agreement that we are going to remove the declawing policy in our current Resident Policies. However, due to hardwood floors and trim, we will be increasing our Pet Deposit. I appreciate you reaching out to us and we are more than happy to accommodate our furry friends the way they are! We plan on having another internal meeting within the next week (most likely after Labor Day weekend) and will re-write the policies to become truly pet friendly across all 6,000 units across Indiana & Ohio.

AAHA hospital says 4 paw declaws are healed & back to normal in 7-10 days

When the first time cat owners asked what do they recommend, they say, “Occasionally we have people who do all four, but most people just do the front because typically cats will damage furniture or claw things with their front feet only.”

Declaw Communications Toolkit by AAHA

‘ve come up with a bright idea and need your help and ideas to make it successful!
American Animal Hospital Association has their big day coming up on July 22 and let’s help them with their celebration.

Gold Standard Cat Friendly Practice And Highest of Excellence Veterinary Hospital Declawing 3 Month Old Kittens

Only in America can “doctors” of veterinary medicine achieve the highest standards of excellence in their veterinary hospitals, AAHA, and Cat Friendly Gold Standard Practice and amputate the toes and claws on kittens who are 3 months old AND on all four paws. Here is one of the many very unethical examples where these “doctors” are deceiving their clients and the public to believe that cats and kittens can be “happy and healthy” after they have had this mutilating procedure done to them.

Singing Kumbayah and Holding Hands

Listen folks. I know that most of you are on board with me with this cause and appreciate what I do and how I run things. But I also know that there are some you who think I could do things better or differently. And guess what. I’m all ears and open to any suggestions if it means saving …

AAFP, American Association of Furniture Protectors

If the AAFP truly cares about the welfare of cats, they can do what their European equivalents, International Society of Feline Medicine/ICatCare.org, have done for years, and that is to only give their Cat Friendly accreditation to practices to vet practices that don’t declaw cats.
