When you know better… you do better

Our chat was back in the spring some time. You were kind enough to educate me and forever change my views on declawing as i truly has no idea what the procedure really was. So…. I’m happy to introduce you to my 8 year old rescue I got this week named Bubbles ? … she was rescued by our local spca from a horrific hoarding situation and i fell in love with her the moment i met her ❤❤ she is the most loving and cuddly cat i’ve ever met!

Declawing her will NEVER be an option thanks to you and I found a great solution i think you will be proud of…. thanks again for helping me understand what declawing is and leave it in the past.

Declawed Your Cat? Join a Class Action Suit

An international group of Pro bono animal advocates is looking for people who had their cats declawed at VCA Hospitals, Banfield Hospitals, any hospital chain or even single private practitioners in the last 4 years and who want to participate in a class action lawsuit, based on the failure of these veterinarians to disclose the true facts, risks, and consequences of declawing and based on the inappropriate veterinary recommendation of declawing cats to protect human health.

My Veterinarian Deceived Me About Declawing Taz

My baby, Tasmanian Devil was a graduation gift when I graduated high school in 2002. We waited til he was a year old then we got him fixed. When he got home he was so mad he tore up my mother’s couch.
We decided to talk to his vet about declawing. Well, we were told that he would be put under and there would be no pain whatsoever.
He was so very wrong, when it got cold his paws would swell and it was hard for him to walk. I felt horrible and heart broken.

A Long Disheartening Rant -The Day That I Lost Hope

My mom posted the comment below and other respectful and educational comments to try to open up their hearts and minds and also to give them some educational material links about declawing and also the youtube video of the Paw Project documentary.

What followed was a firestorm of angry and very disheartening comments from this woman and her friends. It was truly sad and made me lose hope that these people will ever want to really understand or change their unhealthy view on declawing.

Gold Standard Cat Friendly Practice And Highest of Excellence Veterinary Hospital Declawing 3 Month Old Kittens

Only in America can “doctors” of veterinary medicine achieve the highest standards of excellence in their veterinary hospitals, AAHA, and Cat Friendly Gold Standard Practice and amputate the toes and claws on kittens who are 3 months old AND on all four paws. Here is one of the many very unethical examples where these “doctors” are deceiving their clients and the public to believe that cats and kittens can be “happy and healthy” after they have had this mutilating procedure done to them.

Houston Humane Society Declaws Cats. Update- The HHS stopped declawing cats in 2021.

But we really do have a problem. when an organization that is ALL about being humane to animals, is declawing cats that people adopt AND at their Houston Humane Society Clinic and they don’t counsel people about what declawing is or about the HUMANE alternatives. They are deceiving cat owners to think that it is humane and ok for a cat.

“We Do Work Hard To Give Cat Owners Advice And Choices.” Really?

The practice where the President of the Long Island Veterinary Medical Association works charges $1.50 per toe to apply Soft Paws to your cat’s nails and this President charges $38 per toe for her to amputate your cat’s toes. The practice that the President of the New York State Veterinary Medical Society owns, charges $4 per toe to apply Soft Paws to your cat’s nails and this President charges $66 per toe for her to amputate your cat’s toes. Both practices require you to bring in your own Soft Paws for the application service.
