AAFP and Declawing- The Full StoryThe majority of American Association of Feline Practitioners’ (AAFP) Cat Friendly Practices perform declawing.
How can a veterinary practice be called “cat friendly” when they are performing this inhumane, harmful, and unnecessary amputation procedure on cats?

We did a recent survey of 156 AAFP Cat Friendly Practices in 10 states and found that 85% of them declaw cats. Here’s our shocking survey- Cat Friendly Practices declawing survey
They also evidently don’t want the public and their followers on their facebook page to learn more about how declawing causes pain and behavioral problems or about the fact that most of their CAT FRIENDLY Practices perform declawing and profit from it.

People posted comments on these posts try educate the public about the facts about declawing and how it causes pain and behavioral issues. Some also respectfully asked AAFP why they allow declawing in their CAT FRIENDLY Practices.
The folks at AAFP decided that they would hide the comments so that only the people who wrote them could see them.
