Here’s our story about how declawing is a contributing factor to the stress in the veterinary profession. Declawing is causing moral stress in the vet profession

The Not One More Vet supporters are coming on our facebook page and defaming our nonprofit and our work, harassing us, bullying us, and writing bad reviews simply because we did a story about a declawing vet in Lancaster, PA at Pet Day Surgery clinic, who is advertising declawing on her outdoor sign, lying about declawing by saying she has a “near pain free declawing”, and lying about declawing on her website by saying, “Most cats recover from this procedure very well, though older or overweight animals can take longer to recover.” Pet Day Surgery Declawing Info
These #NOMV supporters are calling us names like mentally insane and bullies for shining light on how declawing vets lie about declawing, promote declawing, and deceive their clients about this animal cruelty.
This is a way to make these declawing veterinarians the victims and divert the attention from their unethical ways and the cruelty they are performing towards innocent cats.
Declawing veterinarians hate when we shine light on the unethical things they are doing. They want to keep making easy and good money from this barbaric and sadistic amputation procedure.
We reached out to this declawing vet at Pet Day Surgery quite a few times in an email and she never got back with us. We always ask our supporters in our posts to take the high road, be polite, and educate.
Not ONE of these #NOMV supporters who are attacking us have come up with an idea on how we should address these issues of declawing vets lying about it, advertising it, and deceiving their clients about it. It appears they just think that we should look the other way to these kind of issues and ignore them.

Dear #NOMV supporters who are angry at us for shining light on declawing veterinary practices and veterinarians who lie about declawing on their website, who promote declawing on their websites and outdoor signs, and who deceive cat owners to think that this inhumane amputation procedure is ok for their cats.
We understand that you are worried about the mental health of veterinarians, as all of us are.
Here’s our question to you: Can declawing veterinarians use NOMV as a shield even if they are promoting, performing, and lying about a mutilating procedure that permanently harms cats and is an act that is detrimental to the health and well being of a cat, and should be called out?
Do NOMV and NOMV supporters care more about the idea that a veterinarian could get called out for this animal cruelty and their unethical ways than the actual animal cruelty being performed by a declawing veterinarian?
Declawing IS animal cruelty.
Declawing veterinarians and their supporters are using NOMV as a reason that they don’t have to operate at the highest standard of care for cats.
NOMV has good objectives but when people say that we, the public, can’t post reviews or stories on vets who truly don’t care about the welfare of cats because those vets might hurt themselves, then what are we supposed to do? Do you think that we all should just look the other way to their unethical ways?
We aren’t talking about reviews with threats or things like that.
We are talking about respectful reviews that ask the declawing vet to stop advertising, promoting, performing, and lying about declawing to their clients and to the public. We are talking about stories and posts that shine light on the awful truth.
Should we let those vets continue performing animal cruelty or negligence unnoticed?
Should the small potential that a vet might hurt themselves outweigh the absolute real fact that they are unnecessarily hurting, torturing, and abusing innocent animals and lying about and promoting declawing?
If a newspaper does a story about an employee at a puppy mill who is abusing dogs, do you also attack the newspaper and criticize them for shining light on that issue and tell them they are shaming them and being a bully?
If a tv station does a story about a veterinarian who is abusing dogs and is caught on camera doing that, would you also attack the tv station for shining light on that issue?
We can care about #NOMV AND #NOMC at the same time. We also care about homelessness, the pandemic, the environment, habitat encroachment, and global warming. Are you saying that we can’t care about those things too? If we care about veterinarians and cats that’s just too much for you?
We have seen unimaginable pain and suffering in declawed cats on a DAILY basis for the last 8 years.
NO ONE would be able to withstand seeing such horrific cruelty and suffering that is being done to innocent and helpless cats like we have.
So yes, we will continue to bring awareness to both these important issues by using the #NOMV AND #NOMC hashtags.

Here’s our story about how declawing is causing moral stress in many veterinarians and is a contributing factor in the rise of suicides in the veterinary profession. If declawing is banned then it will help the mental health of many veterinarians in America.
If NOMV supporters truly care about the welfare of ALL veterinarians and the welfare of cats then they would agree that our work is tremendously important.
Declawing Is A Contributing Factor
We recently interviewed 10 veterinarians and all of them say that most declawed cats, if they could, would commit suicide because of all the constant pain and suffering they are in and because declawing has harmed so many aspects of their health and physical and emotional well-being.
NOMV supporters are the ones bullying us when we are just trying to end this animal cruelty and protect innocent and vulnerable cats from it.
NOMV supporteres are trying to destroy our important mission to protect innocent cats from this cruel, inhumane, and barbaric amputation procedure by harassing us and bullying us and by accusing us of being a bully.
We are the voice of the voiceless and are all about educating and shining light on the injustice of declawing. That’s it.
So the facts are that NOMV supporters who are attacking us are the cyber bullies, not us.
